We signed a building contract with a builder that used Lateral Group as the Private Certifier for our new home. We needed copies of the Stamped Plans, Final Inspection Certificates, … More the Form 21, all the Form 16s and Form 17s so we could deal with a warranty claim. Carmel, their Senior Administration Officer, asked us to put the request in writing, then replied via email that as we are not the 'designated applicant' they could not provide any of the requested documentation due to 'privacy issues'. We asked the builder to authorise Lateral Group to release the documents to us and he did so immediately. Lateral Group sent us all the documentation and followed up to make sure we were happy.
